2009 Chamber's Choice Awards Gala (DC Chamber of Commerce); Washington, DC; October 17, 2009

I am thrilled  that I am going to the DC Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala today . I hope to get a lot of pictures and will watch to see if DC Chamber Chairman and Washington Business Journal Publisher Alex Orfinger tweets from the event.  Stay tuned for more info on this blog.

Details of the event :

The Chamber's Choice Awards will be the year's largest gathering of Washington's brightest and most succesful business leaders. Our theme, "Connecting Business: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," honors those who have contributed to the local business community for many years, and those who are pioneering new paths in industry. The DC Chamber expects to have over 1,500 of the city's most prominent business minds in attendance for an extraordinary night of networking, fine dining, and entertainment at the Marriott Wardman Park. This year, the DC Chamber will honor a stellar group of leaders who are changing the business landscape in Washington including:

• Willard InterContinental Hotel - Business of the Year Award
• James Bennett (Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority) - Business Leader of the Year Award
• The Washington Capitals - Economic Impact of the Year Award
• The Washington Mystics - Emerging Business of the Year Award
• CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield - Chamber's Choice Award
• Dr. Dorothy I. Height - Chairman's Choice Award
• Abe and Irene Pollin - Lifetime Business Legacy Award

This year's entertainment will be provided by none other than The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards.
