25th Anniversary of the World Wide Web

Meeting Tim Berners-Lee at SXSW #IEEE Event
On August 6th 1991 when Tim Berners-Lee sent a message to a public list announcing the WWW project.  Another world disrupting event was taking place in the same month, the August 1991 Soviet Coup. I was on a holiday in India when the coup happened and heard the news from my friend M A Deviah who then worked for the Indian Express in Bangalore.

The Tim Berners-Lee announcement of the World Wide Web I recall did not make the news. In 1991 my exposure to computers was :
