Vendors that grew by buying many products are starting to name each product by the job it does. Buyers can find the finance tool, the equity tool, or the embedded analytics tool without first learning the parent catalog.

insightsoftware said on September 16 that Lineos is the brand for the office of the chief financial officer, Certent is the brand for employee equity plans, and Simba is the brand for embedded intelligence and data and analytics. insightsoftware remains the parent and says its other products stay for sale, stay supported, and still receive investment (insightsoftware, 2026).

Chris Jurasek, chief executive officer and chairman, said the company bought 31 technology firms, serves more than 34,000 customers, and added more than 1,000 enterprise performance management customers this year. He said the next stage is product work, including artificial intelligence and a simpler software-as-a-service setup. Andrew Taylor is chief revenue officer. Jennifer Warawa is president. Chad Theule is chief customer officer.

Each brand matches a different buyer

A finance team buys forecasting, reporting, and compliance. A human resources team buys tools to run stock and option grants. A software company that sells its own product buys analytics that sit inside that product. Those three purchases usually have different owners and different renewal dates.

Lineos is the finance platform. The company says it covers the finance workflow and uses artificial intelligence to flag work in forecasting, reporting, and compliance. Certent is the equity platform. The company says a customer can grow on it without moving the plan to a new system or tying the plan to one broker. Simba is the embedded analytics brand. The company says it reads data where the data sits, without making a second copy, so a number can be checked against the source.

I knew Logi Analytics before the 2021 purchase

I have taken insightsoftware briefings and understand the capabilities. I knew Logi Analytics before insightsoftware bought it on April 7, 2021. Logi built charts and reports that live inside another company’s software, so a user does not leave the application to open a separate reporting tool. That is still the job software vendors buy.

After the Logi deal, insightsoftware also bought Izenda, Exago, and Dundas and combined much of that work as Logi Symphony. Simba is the name now used for that product line. In March 2026 the company announced Simba Intelligence, which queries live sources and keeps business names for numbers in a semantic layer. The September announcement puts a public brand on a line the company has been assembling since 2021.

Two surveys were published with the brands

The Lineos finance survey says 68 percent of finance professionals believe artificial intelligence could make financial data more accurate. It also says 21 percent hardly trust or do not trust those outputs. The Simba survey says 86 percent of organizations spend at least 20 hours a month getting data ready for artificial intelligence.

Those figures describe the problem the company is selling against. A forecast is still only as good as the ledger and the person who can explain the number in a board pack. An embedded dashboard is only as good as a stable definition of revenue from one software release to the next.

Questions if you already buy from this company

Ask which of your current products now sit under Lineos, Certent, or Simba. Ask whether your contract, support desk, and product roadmap move with that brand or stay with the parent. Ask whether finance close, equity files, and embedded dashboards share the same systems. Ask how an artificial intelligence answer points back to the source row when audit asks.

A finance change should ship on the finance calendar. An equity grant should ship on the human resources calendar. An embedded analytics connector should ship on the software vendor’s calendar. That is the operational test of the new names.
