Key Takeaway
Conga's full suite is now listed on Microsoft Azure Marketplace, and its new server lets Claude and Copilot query contract data. That gives people another way to request contract information and start supported actions. Identity, permissions and audit records are the first things to test.

In October, Conga listed its full commerce suite on Microsoft Azure Marketplace and announced a server that lets Claude and Microsoft Copilot answer questions from live contract and quote data. The server uses the Model Context Protocol, known as MCP, an open standard that works like a universal plug between an artificial intelligence assistant and a business application.

These announcements are consistent with the open-platform direction Conga described in its 2025 keynote recap.

Conga holds your contracts, quotes and pricing. When the way you buy it and the way people query it both change in the same month, spending approvals and access reviews need a fresh look, and your technology, legal and procurement leaders should look at them together. I covered Conga after its Orlando conference, and this release raises a control question you should settle before you look at the feature list.

Conga changed how customers buy it and how they ask it questions

The announcements, in the order they arrived:

  • On October 6, Conga announced that its full suite is available on Azure Marketplace, with purchases eligible to draw on a customer's Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment. Early access for its quoting and contract software on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Marketplace had come in March.
  • On October 14, at its Conga Connection event in Amsterdam, Conga announced the MCP server, which is designed to connect Claude, Copilot and other MCP-compatible assistants to the Conga Advantage Platform.
  • AiMe, Conga's native AI layer, now carries more than 90 tools and 19 skills (Conga AI release, 2026).
  • Conga's contract lifecycle management software, known as CLM, adds five AI capabilities: Redline, Search, Compliance Screening, Clause Library Builder and Tools for Salesforce MCP.
  • GC AI, a legal AI platform, is now integrated into CLM, according to Conga, and a new SAP Ariba integration creates a contract when a sourcing event is awarded.
  • Pricing and quoting additions include demand and cost forecasting, deal-level margin checks across whole quotes, real-time rebate calculation and side-by-side Quote Comparison. Document Automation adds an AI template generator.

Ask Conga which of these are available for your edition today, because the announcements describe the release as a whole.

Customers get answers where they work and fewer handoffs between price and signature

The benefit differs by role:

  • Finance and IT: Spend already committed to Microsoft can fund Conga, and Conga says the purchase needs no new budget approval and no separate purchase order chain.
  • Executives, legal and sales: A chief financial officer can ask Copilot which contracts expire in 90 days, and a legal operations lead can ask Claude what an amendment changed, with the answer returned inside the assistant they already use.
  • Legal and contracting: Redline recommends clause wording from the organization's own negotiation history, and screening for privacy and sanctions exposure runs during redline review.
  • Procurement: An award in Ariba creates the contract, and the signed agreement returns to the Ariba workspace, so nobody retypes terms between systems.
  • Sales and pricing: A margin check covers a whole quote with hundreds of lines, and the effect of each rebate shows while the seller is still quoting.
  • Operations: The template generator turns existing Word documents into reusable templates and cuts setup effort.

Two of those benefits depend on how Conga treats an assistant's request. A lookup raises one question: whose read permissions apply. Sending an agreement for signature, one of Conga's own examples, starts a legal workflow, so you also need to know which approval rules apply and whether the audit record shows them.

I hope Conga publishes how the server maps an assistant's request to a named employee's permissions, because that answer decides how much of this you can switch on.

Conga's new tools reach legal and procurement teams, where Ironclad and Icertis also compete

A comparison from Rework, updated in August, sorts the contract platforms by buyer. It is one publisher's view, so test the fit in your own evaluation:

  • Conga CLM suits revenue teams committed to Salesforce, because contracts inherit opportunity, account and quote data on one record.
  • Ironclad suits legal teams that want to build their own playbooks and extend self-serve contracting to the business.
  • Icertis suits large, regulated enterprises led by procurement, with SAP as the system of record.

The October release adds features relevant to legal and procurement teams, and to companies that do not center on Salesforce:

  • Legal: Redline, Clause Library Builder, Compliance Screening and the GC AI partnership.
  • Procurement: The Ariba integration and new Supplier Portal capabilities that extend contract visibility to suppliers.
  • Microsoft-centered companies: The Azure listing and the Copilot connection, added to Conga's existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration.

It is interesting to note that the Ariba integration sits in the same procurement territory where the Rework comparison places Icertis.

In pricing and quoting, my note after Conga Connect in Orlando named Vendavo, which offers pricing optimization without native depth in configure, price, quote software, known as CPQ, along with Salesforce Revenue Cloud, DealHub and Malbek. The same note called spreadsheets, point-to-point integrations and manual approval chains the largest competitor of all.

Conga's product lines can involve different buyers, budgets and success measures, so evaluate each relevant product on its own results, such as cycle time and margin variance.

Under Dave Osborne, Conga has widened from quoting and contracts into a connected platform in 16 months

Osborne gave his first keynote as chief executive officer at Conga Connect in June 2025, about four weeks into the job. He described the Advantage Platform as an open foundation that integrates with existing systems, announced investments in Salesforce's Agentforce and in Microsoft Dynamics integrations, and made three commitments: be transparent about the roadmap, deliver on promises and make Conga easier to work with.

The pace since then has been steady. Conga completed its acquisition of the B2B business of PROS on February 2, 2026, which put pricing optimization into what Osborne calls a commerce chain. Conga and that unit share an owner, Thoma Bravo, which also bought PROS as a whole and kept the travel business separate. The combined company serves more than 10,000 customers (Conga completion release, 2026).

Conga introduced AiMe and a new brand at its Orlando conference, and in July it said native pricing integrations, which apply AI-driven pricing insights at the point of quoting, are available to its CPQ customers. The MCP server and the Azure listing followed in October.

You can check Osborne's commitments against what Conga announced in October. The template generator and a guided solution builder cut setup effort, which fits the promise to be easier to work with. An MCP server that both Claude and Copilot can use shows what an open platform means in practice. Roadmap transparency is the one you test in your own account reviews.

Osborne promised an open platform in June 2025, and by October Claude and Copilot could query Conga's data.

Conga has expanded customer and partner outreach under marketing chief Celia Fleischaker

Chief marketing officer Celia Fleischaker joined in July 2025 to lead global brand and go-to-market strategy, a role she held at Conga earlier in her career, according to Conga's announcement. Osborne said her record of uniting product, brand and customer engagement would be central to the job.

My Orlando note reported that Fleischaker and her team ran the live rebrand at the conference. Conga's outreach this year includes the Conga Connection event in Amsterdam, an inaugural awards program recognizing customers and partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with winners announced October 15, a relaunched customer community and expanded customer events, and a Microsoft co-sell route that Conga says lets Microsoft's own sales teams recommend and support its products.

My Orlando note described a company focused on upselling and retention across its existing base, and it said chief revenue officer Lisa Martin, who joined in November 2025, treats net revenue retention as the golden metric.

CIO/CTO Viability Question
Which of your contract controls still work when the request comes from an assistant? Before expanding your Conga deployment, test one deal with pricing exceptions in a pilot environment. If an assistant initiates an action, ask Conga to show the audit record that identifies the employee, the action and the approval applied.
