Good commentary but what do you do as every technology evolves and becomes popular so do the folks who want to use it for their personal gain or use it to spam people. Taken in the context of the questions the survey asked there are other things that are interesting : The survey showed that 77% of workers who have Orkut account use it during work hours. Interestingly, 83% see nothing wrong in surfing at work during the office hours. If your market is India you should consider having a presence on Orkut The study has pointed out that employee’s the best excuse to check out their Facebook or Orkut accounts during lunch breaks but turning to social networking sites or general Internet surfing in the office hours. Today was the second day of the All Services Social media Conference in Washington DC organized in association with the GeorgeTown University - Associate Dean at Georgetown University.  Meeting and talking to the enthusiastic members of the services, Information and technology , Social media and PR teams was a great experience. Very savvy, very enthusiastic and maybe a tad impatient to do do things faster made me glad i was there. After all the US Armed services gave the world the internet, gps and much more. At the conference there was a demo of the the customizable, user friendly website of the US Army - http://my.army.mil . Service personnel, civilians alike can setup their login using new web 2.0 tools like Twitter auth, Openid, I signed upo and got a salute from the web site "HOOAH! Welcome Shashi Bellamkonda" Cool !
