Yahoo ! Sends Diwali Greetings . Thanks .

image

Just saw the tweet from Andy Carvin about Yahoo! changing its logo to wish Yahoo! users a Happy Diwali. Google has the logo only on its India portal.

Is Yahoo! more international? What is Diwali ?

Flickr has a post on Diwali too

Who does Yahoo! hope to reach by showing the page = Americans of Indian origin :  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_American

Could Google have done this? What would they have gained?
